How To Remove Hibernation In Windows XP- Speed Up Windows XP

If you do not use hibernation, make sure you do not have it enabled, which reserves disk space equal to the amount to your RAM on your system. .
So if you have 512mb RAM, it will use up 512 MB disk space too..

To disable hibernation, do the following:
1> Start
2> Control Panel
3> Performance And Maintenance
4> Power Options
5> "Power Options Properties" window pops up and then click on the hibernate tab and UNCHECK the " Enable Hibernation Box "..

Thats it.. now you have saved a good amount of disk space..
